The Mount Washington Resort at Bretton Woods

The Mount Washington Resort at Bretton Woods, located in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire is the perfect place to spend a family vacation any season of the year. My husband and I had the opportunity to slip away to the resort for a romantic "parents only" weekend this summer while the kids spent quality time with their grandparents. As parents, we all know the importance of "grown-up time" to nurture our relationship and build a stronger family, but it is often difficult to get away without the kids. At The Mount Washington Resort, whether you plan a romantic weekend or a family vacation you can rest assured that it will be a rewarding and memorable experience for all. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed everything the resort had to offer from hiking Crawford Notch, swimming and tennis to outdoor musical performances, sumptuous cuisine and nightly entertainment. We rode the famous Cog Railway to the top of Mount Washington-an adventure every visitor to the resort should experience. We observed many families enjoying the resort’s tremendous family activities, events and programs every day of our stay. read more...

As I stepped onto the front veranda of the Mountain View Grand Resort it was like stepping back in time. EASTOVER RESORT

Lenox, MA
Eastover. 1000 acres of rolling, sprawling countryside awaits in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains. Beginning our journey from just north of New York City, I complete the 3-hour drive in 2 ½ hours. As we pull up to the grand Eastover Mansion to check in, the girls are already jumping out of their car seats to take part in a children’s water-balloon toss involving 20 kids. From that minute to our time of departure 5 days later, my 7-year-old twin girls did not stop enjoying all that Eastover had to offer.
My wife, Denise, stayed with the girls during the water balloon toss as I unpacked the car and prepared our room. Soon the girls ran in, put on their bathing suits, and ran out just as quick. "Where are you going?" I yell. "To the indoor pool!" they cry back with glee. On this beautiful warm August day, perfect outdoor swimming weather, they couldn’t wait to go swimming in the indoor pool. read more...
Nestled among the mountains, forests, and the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean is the picturesque village of Bar Harbor. Along its rocky shore the masts of fishing boats tilt rhythmically back and forth as the waves lap against the rocky shore. No longer the exclusive realm of the wealthy, Bar Harbor is now a place in which people settle and raise their families as well as a favorite summer vacation destination.
A trip to Boston is a trip into American history. From Faneuil Hall, to the Old State House, to the path of Paul Revere at the Old North Church, to the Boston Tea party, this city captures the life of the original colonists. In addition to history, Boston also boasts a wonderful cultural tradition. There are currently more than 23 major theatres, orchestras, and symphonies. Come see what this amazing city has to offer.
Visitors to Vermont who come for the great outdoors should be sure to stop at Burlington. Not only is Burlington one of the central cities of Vermont, but it is one of the most beautiful and has the most to offer. Burlington has a unique culture, a generous and happy spirit, and the scenery to match.
Although Cape Cod is known as a summer paradise, increasingly people are visiting during the "off" season to enjoy the peace and tranquility. The sea is an intricate part of everything Cape Codders do and various celebrations take place throughout the year. There are only two bridges to access the Cape, which requires vacationers to slow down and go with the local pace. The fresh salty air, quaint villages, picturesque harbors, unspoiled woods and marshes make it very easy to unwind.
